Lalit Modi-Sushmita Sen relationship: Lalit Modi, former IPL chairman and fugitive Indian businessman, has announced that he is dating actress and ex-Miss Universe Sushmita Sen. 

Lalit Modi took to Twitter to share some romantic pictures with Sushmita Sen and called the actress his 'better half'. He also dropped hints that they are planning to tie the knot soon.

Meanwhile, an old tweet of Lalit Modi asking Sushmita to reply to his text is also going viral on social media. “Okay I commit “@thesushmitasen: @LalitKModi you are too kind. However, promises are meant to be broken, commitments are honoured. Cheers love. Here is to 47,” He had shared a tweet in 2013.

To this, Sushmita replied, “Gotcha 47.” “Reply my SMS,” Lalit wrote.

Lalit Modi's tweet carrying romantic photos with Sushmita Sen surprised the netizens who are discussing whether the two were already married. 

One of the internet users said, "Is this a joke? I don’t believe this (sic)." Another said, "Ye kab hua (sic)." A netizen wrote, "It's a pleasant surprise (sic)."

"Quite surprising," a social media user wrote. "So basically it all started from here," another user wrote, speculating about their past relationship. 

Sushmita Sen was crowned Miss Universe in 1994. She was in a relationship with model Rohman Shawl, whom she met through Instagram in 2018. But they broke up late last year.

Sushmita Sen is a mother of two daughters Renee and Alisah and has a fan following of 6.4 Million on Instagram.

Lalit Modi married Minal Sagrani in October of 1991. The couple has two children -- son Ruchir and daughter Aliya. Minal Sagrani passed away in 2018 battling cancer.
