In honor of International Women's Day, the creators of Laapataa Ladies unveiled an enticing offer. Aamir Khan Productions announced that movie buffs could enjoy the film for a flat fee of just Rs 100.
According to sacnilk's reports, Laapataa Ladies amassed approximately 0.60 crore net in India on its eighth day. Following a satisfactory opening weekend, the film has maintained a consistent momentum, grossing between Rs 50-60 lakh on weekdays.
Shortly after the movie's premiere, director Kira Rao expressed her aspirations of submitting Laapataa Ladies for the esteemed Oscars. She articulated, "Our foremost validation stems from the audience's reception at the box office. If our work resonates with viewers and the nation, that would be the ultimate recognition for us.
There exists a specialized panel entrusted with evaluating and choosing the finest films of the year, and if our film is deemed worthy, we will indeed submit it for the prestigious Oscars."
Laapataa Ladies, featuring Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Chhaya Kadam, and Ravi Kishan, premiered on March 1st.
