Jagananna Vasathi Deevena 2023: Jagananna Vasathi Deevena is one of the welfare schemes offered by the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government in Andhra Pradesh to provide financial aid to students from economically weaker backgrounds pursuing post-secondary education. Chief Minister YS Jagan will be visiting Narpala at the Singanamala constituency in the Anantapur district today, April 26, to participate in the Jagananna Vasathi Deevena programme.
The Chief Minister will electronically transfer the funds into the beneficiaries' accounts during the occasion. Since taking charge as chief minister, YS Jagan will be visiting the district fifth time.
The district collector reviewed the district's preparations for the chief minister's planned visit during a teleconference with the authorities on Monday, April 25. He directed the officials to make extensive preparations from the helipad to the location of the public gathering.
The collector also gave them advice on how to organise transport for the recipients and students so they can attend the ceremony on April 26. The district administration official also emphasised the need of providing snacks, buttermilk, and drinking water for workshop participants due to the hot heat.

The government has released that Rs 4,275.76 crore have been deposited so far and Rs 912.71 crore will be deposited on Wednesday. The CM will transfer the amount in the beneficiaries' accounts during the event itself.

Jagananna Vasathi Deevena 2023: Eligibility
To be eligible for the Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme in Andhra Pradesh, students must fulfill the following criteria:
- A resident of Andhra Pradesh.
- The student must be enrolled in a post-secondary programme at an ITI, polytechnic, university, or other post-secondary institution.
- The household income of the student must be below the poverty level.
- The student must not be a recipient of any other similar scholarship scheme.
- To demonstrate their eligibility, the student must present the required paperwork, such as an income certificate and an Aadhar card.
- It is required that students maintain a minimum attendance of 75% to be eligible for the scholarship disbursement.
- The other scheme provided by the AP government for the students is Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevana.
Jagananna Vasathi Deevena 2023: Who are eligible
- Candidates should be natives of Andhra Pradesh.
- The maximum age should be 35 years as on date of publication of notification.
- Family income should not be more than Rs 8 lakhs per annum.
- Only one candidate is allowed from one family
- The candidate who has already availed financial assistance under a similar State or Govt of India's scheme is not eligible.

For post-graduate courses, 60 per cent marks or equivalent grade in foundation degree in engineering/management/pure sciences.
