Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan: As India is ready to celebrate its 75th Independence Day this year on August 15 with the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently, people from all over India are changing their Facebook, WhatsApp and Twitter DP to with 'Tiranga' or Indian National Flag.

Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and to hoist it to mark the 75th year of India’s independence.  

Under the campaign, PM Modi wants people to hoist the Indian national flag at their home to mark 75th Independence Day. The Prime Minister wants to start the profile picture campaign on August 2nd as it is the birth anniversary of Pingali Venkayya who had designed the flag.

 "When India completes 75 years of its Independence, all of us are going to witness a glorious and historic moment," PM Modi said in his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme this Sunday.

If you're planning to join the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign while celebrating the 75th Independence Day of India, and want to change your Facebook, WhatsApp and Twitter DP as ‘tiranga’  temporarily till August 15, we are sharing a simple steps to do that. 

To to set a profile picture - Search and download the flag of India image that you wish to use as your profile picture on WhatsApp, Facebook and Twitter. 

- Open these apps on your Android or iOS smartphone

- Go to your profile. 

- Tap Select profile picture.  

- Select the Indian flag image that you wish to use.

-  Tap Save.

Bringing the flag home collectively as a nation in the 75th year of independence thus becomes symbolic of not only an act of personal connection to the Tiranga but also an embodiment of our commitment to nation-building. The idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.
