Gangasagar Mela 2023: How to Reach
Sagardwip is located around 120 km from Kolkata. Pilgrims can reach the destination via railways, roadways and airways.

By Air: The nearest airport to Gangasagar is the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, which is located in Kolkata. It is well connected to many cities.

By Train: Trains run from Kolkata on the Sealdah South Line via Kakdwip to Namkhana, where at Bakkhali, there is a ferry from Muriganga Vitarika (Channel Creek) to Sagar Island (Gangasagar).

By Road: Buses ply from Esplanade (Kolkata) to Harwood Point. After crossing the river Muriganga at Harwood point by boat, one can reach Kachuberia. From Kachuberia, bus service is there that takes tourists to Gangasagar.
