Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman hits back at Tamil Nadu govts decision to ban Ram Mandir-related programmes
Sitharaman said in a tweet: Police are also stopping privately run temples from organizing programs. They are threatening the organizers that they will demolish the pandal. I strongly condemn this anti-Hindu, despicable action of the DMK state government.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Sunday (January 21, 2024) condemned the decision of the Tamil Nadu government to ban live telecast of Ayodhya Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony to be scheduled for January 22, 2024.
In a tweet, she said that the Police were also stopping privately run temples from organising Ram Mandir-related programmes and she condemned 'anti-Hindu, despicable action' of the DMK state government.
"Tamil Nadu government has banned live telecast of #AyodhaRamMandir events scheduled to take place on 22 January 2024," she said in the tweet.
Her tweet says further, "There are more than 200 temples of Lord Shri Ram in Tamil Nadu. No kind of puja, bhajan, kirtan, prasadam and annadan is allowed in the name of Shri Ram in the temples managed by HR&CE."
