New Twitter CEO: Twitter CEO Elon Musk announced that he has found a new chief executive for the social media platform and its newly named X Corporation parent. Musk, shared the news on Twitter and said his role will shift in the company to focus more on the product, software, and sysops. “Excited to announce that I’ve hired a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in ~6 weeks! My role will transition to being exec chair & CTO, overseeing product, software & sysops," he tweeted.

While Elon Musk has not shared the name, The Wall Street Journal reported that Linda Yaccarino, the chairman of global advertising and partnerships at NBCUniversal, is in discussions to become the new CEO of Twitter.

Who is Linda Yaccarino?

Linda Yaccarino is the head of advertising and partnerships at NBCUniversal. She was named one of the Top 100 Female Executive Heroes by NBCUniversal Media LLC in September 2022.

Linda Yaccarino has worked at Comcast’s CMCSA, NBCUniversal for 11 years and 7 months, and has been an industry advocate in finding better ways to measure advertising’s effectiveness, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Linda oversees global, national and local ad sales, partnerships, marketing, ad tech, data, measurement and strategic initiatives, according to her bio, which says she and her team have generated more than $100 billion in ad sales. 

Before this, she also worked in the company’s cable entertainment and digital advertising sales division.
