2022 Durga Visarjan: Today is the last day of the 10 days festive Navratri. The day is called Durga Visarjan, which has a very special significance. On this day, those who worship Goddess Durga and worship for nine days, immerse the idol. It is done at an appropriate time either during Aparahna time or Pratahkala while Dashami Tithi is prevailing.

Durga Puja is an annual Hindu festival dedicated to Goddess Durga. It is celebrated during Devi Paksha which is 15 days period of Ashwin lunar month as per the Hindu calendar. This year Shardiya Navratri started on September 26 and ends with Durga Visarjan on the day of Dussehra, October 5.

Many people break nine days of Navratri fasting after Durga Visarjan. Hence Durga Visarjan timing can also be used for Navratri Parana.
