This alteration aims to accommodate candidates participating in the preliminary Civil Services Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on the same day. DMRC - a state-owned organisation managing the rapid transit system in the national capital and its satellite cities - is extending its services by two hours to facilitate smoother transportation for exam attendees.
UPSC CSE 2024 Prelims Exam Date: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said on Friday that its metro train services on Phase-III sections will begin at 6 am on Sunday, June 16, instead of the normal 8 am on Sundays. Two additional hours of service, starting at 6 am, will be provided in a bid to facilitate the candidates appearing for the preliminary Civil Services Examination held by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on June 16, according to DMRC, the state-owned organisation which operates the rapid transit system in the national capital and its satellite cities.

The UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) examination was originally scheduled to take place on May 26 but was later postponed to June 16 on account of the 2024 general elections, which took place in seven phases from April 19 to June 1.
