Diwali 2022 Lakshmi Puja Muhurat Timing, Shubh Muhurat: One of the most celebrated and auspicious festival Diwali is here. Called festival of lights and Deepawali, will be observed on October 24 (today). During this auspicious day, people worship Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha for health, prosperity, wealth, and happiness. Goddess Kali and Lord Kuber are also worshipped on this day.
Diwali 2022 Lakshmi Puja Muhurat Timing, Shubh Muhurat
Lakshmi Puja will be observed today (October 24) and the muhurat for Puja is from 06:53 pm to 08:15 pm. The Amavasya Tithi will start at 05:27 pm on October 24 and end at 04:18 pm on October 25. As per Drik Panchang, Lakshmi Puja can be performed during Pradosh Kaal which begins after sunset and lasts for 2 hours and 24 minutes (approximately). The Lakshmi puja muhurat will begin at 06:53 pm and end at 08:15 pm on October 24.
During Lakshmi Puja, people decorate their homes and offices with marigold flowers and Ashoka, mango and banana leaves. The preparations start by placing a red cloth on the right side on a raised platform and installing Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha idols on it after adorning them with silk clothes and jewellery.

For Diwali Puja people should buy the new Pratima of Maha Lakshmi. This Puja Vidhi is given for new Pratima or Murti of Shri Lakshmi. Puja should begin with the meditation of Bhagawati Lakshmi. Dhyana should be done in front of already installed Shri Lakshmi statue in front of you. Following Mantra should be chanted while meditating on Bhagawati Shri Lakshmi.
"Ya Sa Padmasanastha Vipul-Kati-Tati Padma-Patrayatakshi, Gambhirartav-Nabhih Stana-Bhara-Namita Shubhra-Vasttariya। Ya Lakshmirdivya-Roopairmani-Gana-Khachitaih Svapita Hema-Kumbhaih, Sa Nityam Padma-Hasta Mam Vasatu Grihe Sarva-Maangalya-Yukta."
After Dhyan of Shri Bhagwati Lakshmi, one should chant following Mantra in front of the Murti, by showing Aavahan Mudra (Aavahan Mudra is formed by joining both palms and folding both thumbs inwards). "Aagachchha Dev-Deveshi! Tejomayi Maha-Lakshmi! Kriyamanam Maya Pujaam, Grihaan Sur-Vandite!"
