Chaitra Purnima April 2023: The Chaitra Purnima is the first Purnima of the Hindu calendar. This day is also known as Chaiti Punar. Purnima or full moon day holds an immensity religious and spiritual significance. On this day devotees observe Satyanarayan fast to please Lord Vishnu. People perform many religious and spiritual activities on full moon days. On Chaitra Purnima people also observe Hanuman Jayanti, which is the birth anniversary of Lord Hanuman. As per the belief who keep a fast of Chaitra Purnima and worship Lord Vishnu and God Moon on this day are bestowed with blessings.

Chaitra Purnima 2023: Puja rituals and Puja vidhi

On this day devotees wake up early in the morning and take a holy dip in the Ganga River. Then they offer Arghya (water) to Lord Surya which is considered to be rewarding on this day. Some devotees put gangajal in their buckets and take a holy bath at home. Many devotees observe satyanarayan vrat on this day and offer prayers to the lord. On this day people make charity - distribute food, money and clothes to the poor people.
