Chaitra Navratri 2023: The auspicious nine-day festival of Chaitra Navratri will commence from next week. This festival begins on the first day of the Hindu lunisolar calendar and falls in March/April.
In India, four types of Navratris are celebrated throughout the year. These are Shardiya Navratri, Chaitra Navratri, Magha Gupt Navratri and Ashadha Gupt Navratri.
Navratri of Ashwin month and Chaitra month are considered significant. Most of the customs and rituals observed during Shardiya Navratri are also observed during Chaitra Navratri.

According to Drik Panchang, Pratipada Tithi of the Chaitra month will begin on March 21 at 10:52 PM and end on the next day i.e, March 22 at 08:20 PM. The Meena Lagna will begin on March 22 at 06:232 AM and end on the same day at 07:32 AM PM. While the nine-day festival of Chaitra Navratri will end on March 30.
