Banks closed on Eid-e-Milad-Un-Nabi, Milad-i-Sherif, Bara Vafat: Many public and private banks will remain close on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-Un-Nabi on September 27 and 28 (depending on states). The public is advised to check bank closure schedules. Online banking services will be available for transactions and checking balances.
RBI classifies bank holidays into three categories: holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holidays, and Banks’ Closing of Accounts.
Eid-e-Milad-Un-Nabi bank holiday in different states
Milad-i-Sherif (the birthday of Prophet Muhammad) on September 27 - Banks will remain shut in Jammu & Kashmir.
Eid-e-Milad/Eid-e-Meelad-Un-Nabi - (Prophet Mohammad's Birthday) (Bara Vafat) on September 28 Banks will remain shut in Gujarat, Mizoram, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Hyderabad-Telangana, Manipur, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, New Delhi, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand.
