The recently released dystopian sci-fi epic "Kalki 2898 AD" is storming the box office. The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, Tamil cinema icon Kamal Haasan, Telugu superstar Prabhas, and Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone.

By Monday, the film had surpassed the Rs 600 crore mark at the worldwide box office, with global collections around Rs 625 crore, according to film trade analyst Ramesh Bala. In India, the net collections stand at Rs 343.6 crore, with the Telugu-speaking regions contributing Rs 182 crore. The Hindi market follows, with collections amounting to Rs 128 crore, as reported by industry tracker Sacnilk.

Night show occupancy has seen a slight decline across Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada regions. On Day 5, 3D night show occupancy in the Telugu region was at 55.43%, the Tamil circuit recorded 28.14%, and Hindi theaters saw 47.28% occupancy.

"Kalki 2898 AD" has revived the box office with significant collections after a six-month lull. The film is on track to become the year's first blockbuster upon reaching Rs 800 crore.
