On the day of Akshaya Navami, performing the circumambulation (Parikrama) of Mathura and Vrindavan is seen as extremely fortunate. On this holy day of Amla Navami, Hindu devotees go from all across the nation to Mathura, Vrindavan, and Govardhan to perform a circumambulation (Parikrama) in order to reap the greatest benefits.

The day of Akshaya Navami is believed to have marked the start of the Satya Yuga. Because of this, the day of Akshaya Navami is also known as Satya Yugadi and is very important for all kinds of Daan-Punya activities.

As the name Akshaya implies, engaging in any charitable or devotional activity on this day will always be rewarded and will be beneficial to the individual both in this life and in subsequent incarnations.
