Air India Flight AI-183 Diverted News: Air India said on Thursday that its flight, AI-183, from New Delhi to San Francisco, was diverted to Krasnoyarsk International Airport (UNKL) in Russia. The private sector airline was diverted "due to a technical reason", it said.
The Tata group airline took to microblogging site X (formerly Twitter) to say that the aircraft landed safely at the diverted location.
"We are working with relevant authorities to ensure guests are taken care of while we decide the next course of action," said Air India.
"At Air India, the safety and wellbeing of our customers and crew remains top priority," it added.
