Fintech firm continues to expand globally; aims to develop new capabilities using AI, other cutting-edge technologies

Fintech company Greenlight Financial Technology recently announced the opening of its first India office in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
The Greenlight India Development Center (IDC) will focus on accelerating product innovation to better serve the company’s growing customer base of more than 6 million parents and kids and advance its mission to improve financial literacy for the next generation.
Greenlight teaches kids and teens how to earn, save, spend wisely, invest, and more. Parents can send money instantly, automate allowance, manage chores, and set flexible spending controls.
Kids get invaluable money management experience, along with access to industry-leading financial education via Level Up, an interactive, curriculum-based financial literacy game designed for young people. The Greenlight app also includes location sharing, SOS alerts, and crash detection.

The company also announced the appointment of Sunil Shirguppi as SVP and Country Head of India. Under Sunil’s leadership, Greenlight aims to tap into India’s rich talent pool and vibrant fintech ecosystem, creating more than 100 new jobs across product, design, engineering, data, analytics, infrastructure, and operations within the next year.

The Greenlight India Development Center will help support the company’s next phase of growth as it continues to expand its suite of family banking, education, and safety products and reach millions more families. As a key hub for software development activities, the Greenlight IDC will leverage artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other cutting-edge technologies to enhance existing product features and develop new capabilities.
