IND Vs AUS Updates, ICC World Cup 2023 Final, India Vs Australia Final Highlights: Travis Head scored a marathon 137-run innings while Marnus Labuschagne remained unbeaten at 58 runs as Australia zoomed to their record sixth World Cup title, beating India in the final of the 2023 ICC World Cup at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday (November 19). They chased down Indias victory target of 241 runs in 43 overs with six wickets to spare. From Australia, bowlers Mitchell Starc took three wickets while skipper Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood took two each as Australia restricted India to 240 all out despite Virat Kohli and KL Rahuls 50 each in the final of the World Cup. This improves Australias record to 2-0 against India at World Cup finals, having beaten them at the 2003 World Cup final too.

IND Vs AUS Updates, ICC World Cup 2023 Final, India Vs Australia Final Highlights: Travis Head played a superb 137-run innings while Marnus Labuschagne remained unbeaten at 58 runs as Australia powered to their record sixth World Cup title, defeating India in the title clash of  the 2023 ICC World Cup at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday (November 19). The Kangaroos took just 43 overs to chase down the victory target against India with six wickets to spare. Earlier, Mitchell Starch scalped three while skipper Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood took two wickets each as Australia restricted India to 240 all out despite Virat Kohli and KL Rahul's gritty fifties in the title clash on Sunday (November 19). In reply, Indian bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami gave Australia early setbacks, but Head and Labuschagne played courageous and thoughtful innings as Australia eased to a six-wicket victory over India. Among the audience, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan and many other dignataries were present to watch the IND vs AUS match.

World Cup-winning captains Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni also graced the title clash of the 50-over World Cup. The final ceremony was also a high-octane affair. The Indian Air Force's Suryakiran Acrobatic team performed an airshow after the toss. Aditya Gadhvi of famed Khalaasi (or Gotilo), Bollywood music composer Pritam, singers Jonita Gandhi, Nakash Aziz, Akasa Joshi, Tushar Joshi, and Amit Mishra made the final a star-studded event. As India were playing their fourth World Cup final, eyes were on the likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav. Among Australians, fans focused on Cummins, Starc, Cameron Green, Hazlewood, Travis Head, Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell, David Warner, and Adam Zampa.

India had a successful campaign at the World Cup, winning all their 10 matches.

India also beat Australia in the round-robin stage of the World Cup in Chennai on October 8.

On the other hand, Australia won seven of their nine league matches.

They beat South Africa by three wickets in the second semi-final of the World Cup at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on Thursday.

India reached World Cup finals in 1983, 2003, 2011 and 2023.

While they won the titles in 1983 and 2011, they lost the final to Australia in Johannesburg in 2003.

Australia have had a terrific performance in the World Cup finals, winning titles in 1987, 1996, 1999, 2003, 2007 and 2015, while losing the title clash in 1975 and 1996. Now, they have the 2023 title too.

The demand for the air ticket to Ahmedabad was high as the ticket rates reached as high as Rs 47,000.
