Construction tycoon Pallonji Mistry, who was the chairman of Shapoorji Pallonji Group, breathed his last in Mumbai residence on Monday night. Mistry was 93-year-old.

Mistry was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 2016, the country's third highest civilian award for his contribution as an industrialist in developing the country.
Mistry was the largest individual shareholder in Tata Group with 18.4 per cent stake in Tata Sons.
The company Shapoorji Pallonji Group has built some of Mumbai's landmarks around the Fort area such as HSBC Bank, the Grindlays Bank, the Standard Chartered Bank, the State Bank of India and the Reserve Bank of India buildings.
