Zwigato Box Office Collection Day 1: Kapil Sharma starrer movie 'Zwigato' finally arrived at the theatre on Friday, March 17. The film was released with limited screens around 409. It opened with a dull start at the domestic box office collection on its opening day. 

Directed by Nandita Das, the film shows the journey of a man who lost his job during the pandemic.

“Zwigato” is comedian Kapil Sharma's third film as a lead. The other two movies where he tried his luck on the big screen are Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon and Firangi. Both films failed to perform well.

Nandita Das's directorial venture had a sluggish opening and minted only 42 lakhs on Day 1, according to film critic Taran Adarsh. Sharma's film is receiving positive responses but it needs to convert into footfalls over the weekend, he added.

Zwigato Storyline

The story revolves around the character Manas played by Kapil Sharma. Manas lost his job as a factory-floor manager during the pandemic. He later joined the food delivery app Zwigato to earn a livelihood for his family. He worked as a food delivery rider, grappling with the world of ratings and incentives.
