Vaathi OTT Release Date: Vaathi, starring Dhanush, is set to be released on OTT. The movie created quite a buzz in theaters even though it had received mixed reviews. Vaathi will stream on OTT platform Netflix staring Friday, March 17.

Directed by Venky Atluri, 'Vaathi' will release on Netflix in Tamil and Telugu languages. As 'Vaathi' aka 'Sir' is still running successfully in theatres, the bilingual was expected to have a delayed theatrical release. But the makers have gone with the normal plan and the film will be streaming online.

Vaathi OTT Release Date: Plot

Vaathi or Sir is based on an incident that took place in the 1990s. The plot of this film is based on the struggle of a teacher, who attempts to prevent the privatization of government schools. Dhanush delivered a powerful role and the dynamic actor made his Telugu debut with the bilingual drama.

Directed by  Venky Atluri, 'Vaathi' aka 'Sir' features Dhanush and Samyuktha Menon in main roles as teachers with Sai Kumar, Samuthirakani, Thanikella Bharani, Aadukalam Naren, Thotapalli Madhu, Ken Karunas, Sumant, and Bharathiraja in supporting role. 

Dhanush is currently working on the production of his upcoming action-packed film, 'Captain Miller,' a high-budget film that will be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. The film's release date, however, has not yet been announced.

Dhanush played double role in his previous film, Naane Varuvean as his last appearance on the big screen. He also appeared in the Hollywood film 'The Gray Man,' which is now available on Netflix. Dhanush has also announced the sequel to 'The Gray Man'.
