Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar box office collection day 5: Ranbir Kapoor, Shraddha's film mints Rs 17 crore

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar Box Office Collection Day 5: Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer movie "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar" saw an impressive trend on its first weekend. The film, which had a steady performance on its weekdays, earned a solid number at the domestic box office in its extended weekend, said film critic Taran Adarsh.

The film earned Rs 17.08 crore on its fifth day (Sunday), which took the total collection to Rs 70.24 crore at the domestic box office.

According to Adarsh, the Saturday and Sunday business of the film gave it the extra push. However, the weekdays are still crucial and all eyes are on Monday collection, he added.

Directed by Luv Ranjan, the film marks the first attempt of Ranbir in a rom-com after 2013's hit "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" and Shardhaa's comeback after 4 years. RK's last theatrical release was "Brahmastra: Part One Shiva" which became one of the biggest blockbusters of 2022.

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar Box Office Collection Day 1

The film, released on March 8, took a good start of Rs 15.73 crore at the domestic box office. However, it saw a dip on Thursday and Friday. Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar collected Rs 10.34 crore on Thursday, followed by Rs 10.52 crore on Friday, taking the three-day collection to Rs 36.59 crore.

Produced by Ranjan and Ankur Garg's Luv Films, the film features Ranbir Kapoor, Shardhaa Kapoor, Anubhav Singh Bassi, Dimple Kapadia, Boney Kapoor, Monica Chaudhary, Hasleen Kaur, and more. Besides, Kartik Aaryan has a cameo role in the film.

The film is a refreshing take on romance and relationships, according to Taran Adarsh. Both the actors performed very well. Shraddha Kapoor's performance is terrific in the movie, while Ranbir Kapoor is outstanding. In one word, he called the film a "WINNER".
