The Kerala Story Box Office Collection Day 32: Adah Sharma-starrer controversial film 'The Kerala Story' has set box office registers ringing and is steadily heading towards joining the Rs 250 crore club in theatres in India. Whereas, the worldwide collection of the movie stands at Rs 291.6 crore so far and it is expected that it will soon cross the Rs 300 crore-mark.

Released on May 5, it's been more than a month since the film opened in the cinema halls, and despite this it is still managing to draw audiences to theatres. The film has grossed decent numbers in its first month since release.  

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has now become the second-highest grosser at the domestic box office as it has minted Rs 236.82 crore in 4 weeks. Sudipto Sen's directorial movie beat films like 'Ponniyin Selvan - Part 2', 'Varisu', 'Waltair Veerayya', and more to take the second position. However, 'Pathaan' is still maintaining its top position with Rs 543.09 crore.

The controversial drama is about a converted Muslim woman Fatima Ba who narrates her ordeal of how she once wanted to become a nurse but was abducted from her home and manipulated by religious vanguards, turned into an ISIS terrorist and landed in Afghanistan jail.

The film, which depicts the life of three women from Kerala around religious conversion, features Yogita Bihani and Siddhi Idnani in the lead roles apart from Adah Sharma. The film also features Sonia Balani, Vijay Krishna, Devadarshini Chetan, Usha Subramanian Saksena, Saniya Mir among others.
