Shaitaan Box Office Collection Day 1: After stellar performances in Runway 34 and Bhola, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan is back with a new film- Shaitan. Unlike the previous two films, the latest release is a supernatural horror, and it seems like it is conquering the hearts of audiences as the film has made good collections on its first day.
 
Directed by Vikas Bahl, the film hit theatres on March 8 and has collected over Rs 14 crore at the box office on the opening day, as per the data shared by the industry tracker Sacnilk.
 
According to film critic Taran Adarsh, the film has everything: drama, thrill, adventure, and shock value. The film is wrapped up in an almost perfect, captivating narrative. The unexpected twists and turns are a big plus, he added.
 
In one word, Adarsh called the film a "WINNER" and gave it a four-star rating. He said Ajay Devgn excels at the role of a helpless father. He "conveys fear, concern, and vulnerability with precision". While R Madhavan is outstanding in his negative character. He is "savage, vicious and sadistic, all combined, without going overboard."
 
This is director Vikas Bahl's first foray into supernatural territory, and "the execution of the theme keeps you in tension for most parts," Adarsh tweeted.
