Sardar Sequel, Sardar 2 teaser: The sequel to filmmaker PS Mithran's blockbuster film 'Sardar', which stars actor Karthi in the lead role, has officially been announced. The production house behind 'Sardar'- Prince Pictures, shared a teaser on Twitter account announcing the making for a sequel.

In the teaser, an intelligence official is seen talking to Karthi. He tells him: "You have destroyed a major operation of the government. Therefore, you are dismissed from the police force" and added: "I was the one who made them do it."

He then makes an offer to Karthi. "Your identity right now is that you are the son of a traitor. And that is to our advantage. This will enable you to earn a good name from our enemies. Are you willing to work for me as an agent?"

Karthi readily agrees and the Intelligence official tells him that they will start with Cambodia. Just when he is about to disclose Karthi`s code name, the teaser ends.

The spy action thriller 'Sardar' was written and directed by PS Mithran. The movie, which is directed by S Lakshman Kumar has Chunky Panday, Raashii Khanna, Rajisha Vijayan, Laila, and Karthi in a dual role. In the movie, Inspector Vijay Prakash is given the task of apprehending a mastermind in the movie who has stolen a file from the RAW agency while also learning more about his history.

Chunky Pandey made his debut in Tamil films and Laila made her appearance in cinema after 16 years with 'Sardar'. While George C. Williams handled the film's cinematography and Ruben handled the editing, GV Prakash Kumar was responsible for the music.

Prior to Diwali week, on October 21, 2022, Sardar was released in theatres. The plot, action, film score, cast performances, and social message all got favourable reviews from critics and viewers.
