Zwigato vs Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway Box Office Collection Day 3: Comedian Kapil Sharma-starrer film 'Zwigato' hit theatres on Friday, March 17. The film clashed with Bollywood superstar Rani Mukherjee's movie 'Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway', in a clash that saw her film clearly beat Sharma's 'Zwigato' at the box office on its third day as well.

'Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway' earned Rs 2.02 crore at the domestic box office on Sunday (March 19), which took the overall collection to Rs 4.43 crore (approximately). Far away from this number, Kapil Sharma's film earned Rs 79 lakhs at the domestic box office on day 3 (Sunday, March 19). With this, the overall collection of the film reached Rs 1.84 crore.

According to film critic Taran Adarsh, the audience is appreciating 'Zwigato', but the box office collection remains lacking. Although the film's business has improved on the second and third day, but the overall collection of the three days is extremely low, he added.

"#Zwigato finds appreciation from its target audience, but the #BO remains lacklustre… Although biz did improve on Day 2 and 3, the overall 3-day total is extremely low… Fri 43 lacs, Sat 62 lacs, Sun 79 lacs. Total: ₹ 1.84 cr. #India biz," Adarsh tweeted.

Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway and Zwigato Box Office Collection Day 1

Amid limited release of around 409 screens, the film 'Zwigato' had a dull start at the domestic box office on its opening day. Nandita Das's directorial venture minted only 42 lakhs on Day 1. Whereas Rani Mukherjee's movie earned double at the domestic box office on its opening day. The film minted Rs 83 lakhs on Day 1.

Directed by Ashima Chibber, the film is about an immigrant Indian mother who fights the Norwegian foster care system and legal machinery to win back custody of her children. Besides Rani Mukherjee, the film features Jim Sarbh, Neena Gupta, Anirban Bhattacharya, and more. The IMDB rating of the film is 7.7 out of 10.

About Zwigato

Directed by Nandita Das, the film shows the journey of a man who lost his job during the pandemic. It is Sharma's third film as a lead. The other two movies where he tried his luck on the big screen are 'Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon' and 'Firangi'. Both films failed to perform well.

The story revolves around the character Manas played by Kapil Sharma. Manas loses his job as a factory-floor manager during the pandemic. He later joins the food delivery app Zwigato to earn a livelihood for his family. He worked as a food delivery rider, grappling with the world of ratings and incentives. The film is receiving positive responses. The IMDB rating of the film is 7.8 out of 10.
