Laal Singh Chaddha OTT Release: After two months of the release on the silver screen, Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer Laal Singh Chaddha is now streaming on OTT. Helmed by Advait Chandan, the film has been released on Netflix.
"Keep your popcorn golgappas ready because Laal Singh Chaddha is NOW STREAMING!" Netflix India tweeted.
The film had courted controversy after a section of people accused the makers of hurting their sentiments.
Written by Atul Kulkarni, the film follows Laal Singh Chaddha, a simple man whose extraordinary journey will fill you with love, warmth, happiness and will also make you laugh.
'Laal Singh Chaddha' is an official Hindi adaptation of the Academy Award-winning 1994 film 'Forrest Gump' which had Tom Hanks in the lead role. The film also stars Mona Singh, Naga Chaitanya in key roles.
Perfectionist Aamir Khan had returned to the screens after a four years long hiatus with the war drama had high expectations from this film. However, the film did not receive any special response from the audience post the release.
"That Boycott Bollywood... Boycott Aamir Khan... Boycott Laal Singh Chaddha... I feel sad also because a lot of people who are saying this in their hearts believe am someone who doesn't like India... In their hearts they believe that... And that's quite untrue," Aamir Khar had said earlier.
"I really love the country... That's how I am. It is rather unfortunate if some people feel that way. I want to assure everyone that it's not the case so please don't boycott my films, please watch my films," he had said.
