Kalki 2898 AD advance booking: An Indian epic dystopian science fiction action film Kalki 2898 AD is all set to hit the theatres on June 27. The film, directed by Nag Ashwin, has achieved new heights, with advance bookings beginning on June 23. According to industry statistics from sacnilk.com, it has already sold about 10 lakh tickets on its first day, grossing more than Rs 30 crore from 13,628 shows in various languages such as Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.

This sci-fi action-thriller is likely to have a large effect at the box office, with trade website sacnilk.com predicting it would gross over Rs 200 crore on its first day, making it one of the biggest Indian movie debuts of the year.

"As per the rough projection, Kalki 2898 AD is expected to open with 120+ crores gross collection in India and 60+ crores gross overseas for 180+ crores worldwide opening with a chance to touch 200 crores opening day gross. If it does, it will be only the third Indian movie after RRR and Baahubali 2 to achieve the feat," it said in a post on its website.

Currently, the top Indian films with the highest opening day collections are SS Rajamouli’s RRR (Rs 223 crore) and Baahubali 2 (Rs 214 crore).

The film's ensemble cast includes Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, Saswata Chatterjee, and Brahmanandam. Keerthy Suresh will also perform voice-overs to BU-JZ-1, better known as Bujji.
