Kaduva OTT release date: Malayalam action drama streaming on THIS OTT

Kaduva OTT release date: Malayalam action drama Kaduva released on Thursday on OTT platform -- Amazon Prime. Kaduva stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Vivek Oberoi. The film was released in cinemas on July 7. Directed by Shaji Kailas and produced by Supriya Menon, Listin Stephen, the film has invited positive reviews from critics. 

The movie will now stream on Amazon Prime. Amazon Prime India confirmed the release of the film on the OTT via a Twitter post.

"Malayalam cinema has received so much love from audiences across the globe and I am sure 'Kaduva' will receive the same love and appreciation upon its release on Prime Video," Sukumaran said in a statement, a PTI report said.

Oberoi plays an antagonist in the film. "I have always strived to do unique roles in my career, and Joseph's character in the film is an example of it. It is gratifying to see the kind of love this movie and my character has received. I'm glad that through Prime Video, 'Kaduva' would be accessible to an even larger audience, all across the globe," he said.

The film tells the story of a Pala planter, in the 90s, Kaduvakunnel Kuriyachan played by Sukumaran who ends up on a coalition course with IG Joseph Chandy played by Vivek Oberoi, a top cop who is politically favoured.

The film follows the intense rivalry between the two and the subsequent events that take place because of it.

Days after its theatrical release, 'Kaduva' had landed in controversy over certain dialogues against differently-abled people, following which Kailas and Sukumaran tendered an apology, a PTI report said.
