International Film Festival in Kolkata: The 28th edition of the Kolkata International Film Festival organized by the Information and Cultural Affairs Department, Government of West Bengal is scheduled to be held between 15 - 22 December 2022 in Kolkata.

International Film Festival in Kolkata: Guest of honour
Bollywood superstars Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan will be among those present as Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will inaugurate the 28th Kolkata International Film Festival on Thursday.
Governor CV Ananda Bose, former cricketer Sourav Ganguly, actor Jaya Bachchan and singer Arijit Singh will also be a part of the star-studded function at the Netaji Indoor Stadium, an official said.
International Film Festival in Kolkata: Screening
The inaugural film during this edition of the film fest is Hrishikesh Mukherjee-directed 1973 Hindi film ‘Abhimaan’ which stars Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan in the lead.
A total of 183 films from 42 countries will be screened across 10 venues in Kolkata as a part of the state-sponsored festival, which will continue till December 22.
