Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor turned 38 on Friday, June 9. One of the most stylish female actors in the Indian film industry today, Sonam began her career as an assistant director for ‘Black’ (2005). Sonam drove her career gradually to acting in films.

Sonam’s father, actor Anil Kapoor, shared a string of her pictures. In one of the pictures, Sonam can be seen posing with her husband, Anand Ahuja.

Neerja

The movie ‘Neerja’ is based on the real-life story of flight attendant Neerja Bhanot, who sacrificed her life while protecting the lives of passengers on Pan Am Flight 73 in 1986 when it was hijacked. Many critics find Sona’s portrayal of the character in the movie to be inspiring.

Pad Man

Released in 2018, 'Pad Man’ emphasises the problems faced by women during menstruation. Directed by R Balki, the film is based on a real-life person who began his quest to create a low-cost sanitary pad in 1998. Sonam played a significant role in the movie as a supporting character.

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag

Based on the real-life story of famous athlete Milkha Singh, ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ solely revolves around the hardships and horrors of his life. Sonam plays the role of Milkha’s first love who inspires him to achieve great things in life.
