Dunki vs Pathaan vs Jawan Vs Animal Box Office Collection Day 1: Shah Rukh Khan starrer takes a slow start, barely manages to cross Rs 30 crore on opening day

Dunki Box Office Collection Day 1: After enjoying the blockbuster success of 'Pathaan' and 'Jawaan', Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has come up with another film, Dunki. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film hit theaters on Thursday, December 21.
 
However, the film did not make as much buzz as the earlier two releases of Khan's did at the box office. The film has barely managed to touch the Rs 30 crore mark on its opening day, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.
 
The comedy-drama film is based on an illegal immigration technique called 'donkey flight'.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the net Day 1 India collection of Shah Rukh's third and last release of 2023 is Rs 30 crore. "'Dunki' earned Rs 30 crore India net on its first day for all languages," the website reported.

Day One earnings of 'Dunki' is significantly lower than both 'Pathaan' and "Jawan', which had amassed Rs 57 crore and Rs 75 crore net on their opening days in India, respectively, according to the Sacnilk data.
 
Along with this, Dunki also failed to surpass the first-day collections of the recently released film 'Animal'. The Ranbir Kapoor starrer film Animal earned Rs 63.8 crore on its opening day, according to data shared by Sacnilk.
