Bhediya Box Office Collection: How Varun Dhawan-Kriti Sanon-starrer horror-comedy film performed on day 1?

Bhediya Box Office Collection Day 1: Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon-starrer movie 'Bhediya' opened way below the mark at the Box office on Day 1, according to film critic Taran Adarsh. However, the creature-comedy movie reported better occupancy during the evening/night shows, he added.

The film, released on November 25, earned Rs 7.48 crore on day 1 (Friday) at the box office in India. The film, as per the analyst, is witnessing growth on Saturday.

The makers of the movie claimed that the box office collection of "Bhediya" is Rs 12 crore worldwide on day one, said IANS. A statement released by the makers read: "Creature Comedy #Bhediya opened to 12.06 crores gross box office worldwide on Friday, Day One."

"The film grew substantially by Friday evening, displaying a fantastic upward trend with Saturday morning shows already showing average 45 per cent growth over Friday morning, amidst positive reviews & word of mouth," IANS reported citing filmmakers.

Bhediya Story
The film 'Bhediya' is set in Arunachal Pradesh. A young man named Bhaskar gets bitten by a wolf in the forest and starts transforming into a shape-shifting werewolf. He along with his friends looks for answers to find a cure and uncover an age-old mystery.

The film is directed by Amar Kaushik. Along with Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, the film also stars Deepak Dobriyal, Abhishek Banerjee and Saurabh Shukla.
