So, here’s a list of films that you shouldn’t miss over the weekend:
1.Avatar: The Way of Water
After winning hearts all over the world, James Cameron’s much-awaited Avatar: The Way of Water released on Disney +Hotstar on June 7. The film stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Kate Winslet, Stephen Lang, and others in prominent roles. It is a sequel to the 2009 blockbuster Avatar and is set more than a decade after the events of the first film. In Avatar 2, Jake Sully and his family embark on a wild adventure after escaping from their established home.
2.Bloody Daddy
Ali Abbas Zafar enters the OTT sphere with his highly anticipated film ‘Bloody Daddy’. The film stars Shahid Kapoor in the titular role, who is on a quest to free his kid from the grip of a drug lord. Apart from him, the project also stars Rajeev Khandelwal, Diana Penty, Ronit Roy, Sanjay Kapoor, and Zeishan Quadri in prominent roles. The film is streaming on Jio Cinemas.
3.Gadar: Ek Prem Katha
Gadar: Ek Prem Katha has re-released in theatres this week. According to reports, Anil Sharma’s partition saga has been released with a newly enhanced viewing experience. It also has extra scenes that were not there when it was originally released. The film stars Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in the lead roles.
4.2018: Everyone Is A Hero
The Malayalam-language drama 2018: Everyone Is A Hero, which premiered in theatres on May 5, is available on SonyLIV. The film is set during the horrific Kerala floods of 2018, where people from all walks of life banded together to escape the calamity. The film stars Aju Varghese, Siddique, Joy Mathew, Sudheesh, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Tovino Thomas, Indrans, Kunchacko Boban, Aparna Balamurali, Lal, Narain, Tanvi Ram, Sshivada, Kalaiyarasan, and Indrans in important roles.
5.Transformers: Rise of the Beast
Transformers: Rise of the Beast is the latest instalment in the much-loved action-adventure franchise, which was released in theatres on June 9. Steven Caple Jr’s film will take the audiences on the 90s globetrotting adventure and introduce the Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons to the existing battle on Earth between Autobots and Decepticons. It stars Anthony Ramos, Peter Cullen, Liza Koshy, Pete Davidson, and Michelle Yeoh in crucial roles.
