WhatsApp beta users might have noticed a bug affecting the timestamp of chats on the app on version 2.18.109. Users should know that the first characters in the timestamp 'Yesterday' 'Today' are being replaced by their ASCII equivalent like '89esterday' and '84oday'. The operability of the app was not affected, but users noticed it and reported the issue to WhatsApp, which then rolled out a patch in version 2.18.112 to fix the issue.
