Time limit for tur and urad import extended by 1 year. Toor urad will be imported duty free Now tur, urad will be imported till March 2023. The period of duty free import was ending on 31 March. 22.6 lakh tonnes of pulses imported in 2020-2021 above MSP of tur and urad in mandis. The need for import of pulses is 10-12% of the consumption in the country.
