Commodities: The rising cost of spices has added a tinge of inflation to the flavours. There has been a jump in the prices of guar, cumin and turmeric. Cumin prices are witnessing the biggest upswing, which is selling at the highest ever price. The main reason for the increase in the price is said to be rain. The rain has affected the production of cumin. Along with this, a large quantity of cumin has been exported from India.
