Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a campaign against single-use plastic products on September 11. While addressing the public rally, PM Modi said, “We need to make efforts to rid our homes, offices, and workplaces of single-use plastic by October 02, 2019. I appeal to self help groups, civil society, individuals and others to join this mission.” Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Mathura MP Hema Malini also present during the event.
