Locals staged protest in Shivamogga against state government's plan to draw water from Sharavathy River to Bengaluru. Protestors shouted slogans against the state government too. Large number of youth participated in the protest. District administration declared holidays for school children, private bus, taxi and auto services stopped due to protest.
