The political turmoil continued to grip Bangladesh as a state of anarchy prevailed across the nation. On August 05, Sheikh Hasina resigned as Bangladesh PM and fled the nation with her sister & associates. Sheikh Hasina arrived in India at very short notice in a C-130 J transport aircraft from Dhaka. As per sources, most of the members who arrived in India didn’t even get time to carry along essentials with them. Associates in her entourage came to India in a hurry, couldn’t even carry clothing or any other daily-use items

Dhaka (Bangladesh) : A massive crowd of protesters on Monday (August 5) stormed the former Bangladesh prime minister Sheikh Hasina's official residence 'Ganabhaban', shouting slogans, pumping fists and showing victory signs amid her resignation.
While reacting to the current situation in Bangladesh, US State Department Spokesperson, Matthew Miller said that the USA wants to see Bangladeshi people choose their own govt. He further said, “We have seen the announcement that Prime Minister Hasina has resigned from her position and departed Bangladesh. We are monitoring the situation carefully.
