Country's largest lender State Bank of India (SBI) has reduced its MCLR by 5 bps across all tenures with 1 Year rate down from 8.45% p.a. to 8.40% p.a. As a result, Interest rates on all loans linked to MCLR stand reduced by 5 bps with effect from 10th July 2019.

MCLR was introduced on from April 2016 with an aim to ensure that the banks pass on the benefits of RBI's rate cut to their customer in faster pace.
