Punjab On High Alert: A major crackdown was launched against Singh on Saturday and the police arrested 78 members of an outfit 'Waris Punjab De' led by him. Four arrested members were brought to Assam's Dibrugarh on Sunday.

Internet services in several parts of Punjab were suspended on Saturday till 12:00 PM Sunday on the back of reports of the arrest of self-styled radical Sikh preacherAmritpal Singh. Some supporters of Singh shared some videos on social media claiming that policemen were chasing them.
