A limit applicable to loans for SMEs under the 'Tarun' category of the PM Mudra scheme has been doubled to Rs 20 lakh. The decision was announced by the finance minister in her Union Budget 2024 speech on July 23. Under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, the higher limit of Rs 20 lakh under the Tarun Plus category will be provided to entrepreneurs who have already serviced their loans under the Tarun category earlier, according to a Ministry of Finance notification.
