The government's 1.5 percent stake sale in ONGC had a smooth start on Wednesday, with institutional buyers putting in bids worth Rs 4,854 crore and over-subscribing the portion reserved for them.
The non-retail portion of ONGC OFS received 127,673,688 equity shares bid as against 84,916,884 equity shares offered. The retail portion as per the company’s filling to open on March 31, 2022.
The government had announced Offer-For-Sale (OFS) in the oil exploration company on Tuesday after market hours.
