The total oilmeal exports during November-April, the first six months of the marketing year, indicated the revival of soybean meal exports which jumped from 10.4 lakh tonnes to 16.6 lakh metric tons.

In value terms also, the country's oilmeal exports were highest at Rs 15,368 crore during 2023-24 fiscal. The previous record was 43.81 lakh tonnes achieved in 2013-14 fiscal, while in value terms shipments stood at Rs 11,500 crore.

Solvent Extractors' Association of India (SEA) data showed that the export of oilmeals in October stood at 2,89,931 tonnes as compared to 2,13,153 tonnes in the same month last year.
