Generic Medicines: National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued new rules. It has been said in the rules that all doctors should prescribe only generic medicines and if they do not do so then punitive action can be taken against them.

Now the patient will be able to know the professional history of the doctor, as per the new regulations by the National Medical Commission. NMC will prepare a common national medical register in which complete information of registered doctors will be recorded. Also, it will be mandatory for all the doctors of the country to pass the National Exit Test (NEXT).
