Making a big announcement, Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has said that from April 1, 2020, the auto major will stop selling the diesel cars. According to MSIL, there is no mass market for diesel cars. However, MSIL may contemplate about 1500 cc diesel cars.
Post Q4FY19 announcement, Maruti Suzuki share price ended at Rs 6868.05 per piece, down by Rs 156.30 or 2.23%. The company also hit an intraday low of Rs 6865.
A Bloomberg poll of experts predicted Maruti Suzuki Q4 PAT to come in at Rs 1,760 crore.
Maruti which ended near Rs 7,441-level on Friday last week, has plunged by 7% in just four days of trading session. The company will be announcing its March 2019 quarter (Q4FY19) result .
