Among the 13 Lok Sabha constituencies in Punjab, Ferozepur recorded a turnout of 11.61 per cent, followed by Sangrur with 11.36 per cent.
Of the six assembly constituencies where bypolls are being held simultaneously, Dharamshala recorded a turnout of 12.98 per cent, Lahaul and Spiti 11.95 per cent, Sujanpur 12.59 per cent, Barsar 11 per cent, Gagret 13.18 per cent and Kutlehar 14.05 per cent.
According to the Election Commission (EC), the polling percentage till 9 am is -- Ballia 13.42, Bansgaon 10.37, Chandauli 14.34, Deoria 13.74, Ghazipur 13.32, Ghosi 10.32, Gorakhpur 12.99, Kushinagar 13.5, Maharajganj 14.44, Mirzapur 14.93, Robertsganj 10.74, Salempur 13.39 and Varanasi 12.66.
Patliputra recorded the highest turnout at 12.39 per cent, followed by Jehanabad (12.21), Karakat (11.75), Sasaram (11.18), Patna Sahib (10.76), Arrah (9.32) Nalanda (9.17) and Buxar (8.32) till 9 am.
Around 53.23 lakh electors are eligible to cast their votes in the three constituencies, with Godda having the highest number of voters at 20.28 lakh, and Dumka the lowest at 15.91 lakh.
