Joshimath is a sinking town, and residents are awaiting evacuation as deep cracks in walls and roads force them to sleep outside their homes. CM Dhami held a high level meeting regarding this. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, the administration announced to pay rent to the displaced families for 6 months. An assistance of Rs 4000 will be given to per family.
