Jio Financial Services will be excluded from Sensex and other S&P BSE indices on September 1, 2023. The decision was made because the company's shares did not hit the lower circuit on August 29 and 30. The index committee had said that if JFS hit the lower circuit on August 31, the removal would be postponed. The committee applied a 2 PM IST cut-off time for the lower circuit limit assessment.
